Book the first slot for the Real Alcazar
The Real Alcazar has the longest lines in Seville. Daily entry is capped, and in season the timed slots sell out days ahead. The walk-up line waits along the palace wall for hours, worst from late morning to mid-afternoon.
Book the first slot before you travel. Inside, go to the far gardens first and see the courtyards on the way back, as the rooms fill. Book a timed ticket for the Cathedral too and climb the Giralda first.
Santa Cruz before 10:00, Las Setas after sunset
The alleys of Santa Cruz behind the Alcazar are shoulder-wide and worst from late morning to mid-afternoon. The Giralda's ramp moves as one slow column at peak. Las Setas has a short queue at sunset and none at night. Calle Sierpes is full in the evening.
Walk Santa Cruz before 10:00 or at night. Do the Cathedral at opening or take the last entries. Go to the Plaza de Espana at golden hour. Climb Las Setas just after sunset, or at night for the lights.

Stay a few stops from the centre, near one of the quiet places. The Seville page lists them and links to hotels near them.
Lunch in Triana
Triana, across the river, has a market, ceramic shops and its own pace at any hour. The alleys of Santa Cruz are at their fullest from late morning to mid-afternoon, the hours when you would eat there.
Cross the river for lunch, the market and the tile shops. Keep Santa Cruz for the early morning or the night.
Pack for Seville's heat and early starts
