The original list of the “7 New Wonders of the World” was curated through a global campaign organized by the Swiss foundation New7Wonders, which commenced in 2000 and concluded in 2007. People from all around the globe had the opportunity to cast their votes for a range of impressive architectural feats, monuments, and cultural treasures.
From the extensive list of nominees, seven stunning new world wonders were ultimately chosen. This selection was based on the number of votes each candidate received, with only the top seven garnering a spot on the final list.
