The Museum of the future is Dubai‘s newest and hottest tourist attraction. It looks stunning from the outside during the day and even better at night. But there is a problem for those who want to see it from the inside. Dubai’s Museum of the future is continuously sold out. You need to buy tickets in advance.

During a quick visit to Dubai in August, the Museum of the Future was on top of my list. I have been to Dubai before, but that was before the Museum opened its doors. When we drove into the city at night, we saw the beautiful architecture with completely lit-up inscriptions. The building’s architecture is out of this world, and I was excited about the opportunity to step into the building.

Unfortunately, I never made it in. While I did try to get tickets a few days in advance, I found out that all the Museum’s timeslots were fully booked. Because I didn’t plan or read this post, I had no chance of making it into the Museum. Hopefully, you will read this blog while preparing for your trip to Dubai.

What is the Museum of the Future all about?

How to buy tickets for the Museum of the Future?

Knowing the Museum will likely sell out during your visit, we recommend buying tickets in advance. You can do so on the Museum’s website or through an authorized reseller like In Dubai, we always suggest buying tickets through a reseller, which comes with much better consumer protection. For example, if you cannot make it to your scheduled slot. At, you will get a full refund if you cancel within 24 hours.

When booking a ticket, you must select a date and timeslot. It is recommended to arrive at least 15 minutes in advance. We recommend buying tickets at least 10 days in advance to ensure the Museum isn’t sold out.

Is the Museum of the Future worth a visit?

Unfortunately, I never made it inside the Museum because I didn’t buy tickets in advance. But we did our homework by looking at countless reviews. Overall, the Museum gets ratings between 3.5 and 4,8 stars on different trip rating websites. On, the experience is rated 4.4 out of 5. Overall, people believe it is worth a visit.

Looking into the reviews, people are in love with the architecture and applaud how the museum showcases ‘the future of Dubai and the amazing vision that this country [sic] is working on.’ Others love how the Museum showcases its futuristic vision while staying close to Arabic culture.

While the average rating is positive, not everybody seems to enjoy the Museum of the future to its fullest. Some people write that the Museum can be too busy, and some even argue that the outside is better than the inside. We also read about staff being a bit unfriendly from time to time.
